I found this to be a high quality product, with excellent design and features. It VERY easy to fit, with clear instructions to follow step-by-step.
Key coding the lock to match the original BMW key is a little fiddly, but again, if you follow the instructions all was good.
I went for the larger MotoCase, as I wanted 2 x Helmet storage, but beware as it does impede the opening of the original BMW Panniers. I also have the Mosko Moto panniers, so no problem for me, but just be aware, or order the smaller size. Strongly recommend.

Definitely worth getting the larger one. Doesn’t interfere with my standard BMW Vario side boxes. BMW key coding is tricky but not impossible and a great feature. Added my own reflective stickers. Great customer service and quick delivery (UK).

This top case is truly the best—I have to admit, I absolutely love it! The external mounts are not only stylish but also extremely practical for attaching all sorts of accessories. The hooks on the four upper corners allow you to secure an additional bag with a net, significantly increasing storage capacity in a smart way.
But what really won me over is the red interior lining, which adds a premium touch and makes everything inside more visible and organized. Another game-changing feature is the lid’s opening system: you can choose the angle at which it stays open, and it will remain in place without having to fully extend. This is a huge advantage compared to other top cases—I’ve had multiple instances where I placed my helmet on the seat, opened the lid completely, and it accidentally hit the helmet, causing it to fall. With this system, that’s no longer an issue.
Pair it with the built-in touch light, and you have absolute perfection. Being able to load, unload, and search inside the case with both hands free is an incredible convenience. Lone Rider has truly designed a brilliant solution that, so far, no other brand offers.

Quality of the case is outstanding! Only challenge is when I want to put it on the plate or take it off the plate, although I have greased the rubber on the plate it’s still challenging to push and pull the case from the plate. With my old Givi case it was just a click and that’s it, I could even do it with 1 hand, with this one I need to apply some force with my body every time.

I just got back from a 3 week trip covering 26 provinces in Thailand and also spent 4 days riding the very rugged roads in Laos. The moto case worked very well for keeping our stuff clean and dry and giving quick access to the stuff used throughout the days of our journey. Also, the fact that it’s adjustable with the tabs on the bottom allowed me to move the moto case back on the bike and give my wife a bit more seating room for 2up touring. Amazing!

This replaced a Givi Outback Trekker 58lt topbox & for the ability to code the key to the BMW its worth it, but DAMN is it heavy at 8.85kg (2.65kg more than the Givi) and yes I understand it has more features, but thats a lot of weight.

Thoughtfully designed top box does its job and, pardon the pun, ticks a few boxes. Wanted to put a few km's on it before reviewing and have now done a little over 10K with the box.
Likes:
Sizing works well and if empty, can take my flip lid helmet and gloves easily when parked up.
As a commuter box I can easily pack in my waterproofs, work needs and add a bit of shopping.
As a weekender, it's more than adequate for my needs and if I'm away for an extended (non camping trip), I just double up with my small Overlander (as an aside, my favourite LR item of kit).
The ability to key-alike the barrel was a bonus, though I feel the barrel itself is a little loose in the lock.
The net, light and inner bag are fantastic. Bag is a perfect stuff in and pull it out solution. Love it.
Ho-Hums:
The molle panels are for mine a little gimicky and personally I wouldn't load them up with too much - LR advises a weight limit so just follow that if you need to use them. Making them removable is a nice design tweak.
The lid flexes a little and if you have the box well stuffed, it can move a little when trying to seat the lock. One handed operation is doable if not too much upward pressure on the lock from bag contents.
It's only a very (very) personal peeve, but my locks aren't "synched" when locked. The case locks in a horizontal position, the plate in a vertical position. I've tried rotating the case barrel, but I can't make it align. Certainly not a deal breaker.
The case sits about 10mm closer to me than the Givi box I replaced when using the recommended base bobbin positions, so a little more squeeze for the pillion. I prefer that over the Givi however as it moves case weight overall forward. There is a fair bit of bounce to the case, but that is the fault of the GS rack rather than anything to do with the case - just something to be aware of.
I now have a few LR items and have used them variously for nearly 45K. I rank them accordingly:
1: Overlander bag. It's a superb piece of kit.
2: Moto-case. Great design, well thought out, looks the bees knees.
3: ADV Tent. Integrates well with the OL bag. IS proving durable.
4: LR GS Light Guard. Simple. Effective. Looks trick.
5: LR Moto Bags. Great concept (as in, really great), but I just find them a little too large. I gave them 4 stars in my review of them.
Plenty of great product folks, and they all feel and operate as though they have (and, they do) have real rider input.

Never been a Top box fan, but I love this! Sleek and very James bondy. Love the small light inside and the lock is really easy to code, to your existing BMW key.

Overall the Motocase is well designed and put together. The adhesive on the velcro however doesn't hold and comes away when the liner is removed. Hence my 4 stars.
I would like to suggest that if you're going to update the Motocase. A few cut outs in the liner with attachment points inside the case would be appreciated. That way things could be secured to the side or held down securely. As it stands, there's no way of securing items therefore they are left bouncing about. A retro solution would also be of value.

- Die zulässige Höchstgeschwindigkeit von nur 120 km/h ist erschreckend niedrig und war mir beim Kauf nicht bewusst.

Mais ce qui m’épate c’est d’avoir pensé au fond rouge et de le livrer avec filet sac rouge barillet prêt à être codé, éclairage led rechargeable USBC.
